How to make a wedding crossword puzzle
You do not need to design the grid yourself. Add each answer with its clue, and the editor rebuilds the crossword as you work. It also tells you when an answer does not fit.
Create your crossword1. Brainstorm answers first
Write down names, cities, foods, songs, pets, dates, and shared traditions. Short, letter-rich answers tend to connect most easily.
2. Add each answer and clue
Type an answer in the Answer field and its prompt in the Clue field, then choose Add clue. To add a list at once, open Bulk add clues and put one ANSWER | clue pair on each line.
3. Check any unplaced answers
The editor rebuilds the grid after every addition. An answer that does not connect is marked in the clue list with a suggestion. Delete that entry and add it again with a shorter spelling, a familiar nickname, or more shared letters.
4. Compare layouts
After your clues connect, choose Try another to generate a different arrangement. Previous and Next let you compare the versions made during that editing session.
5. Customize and download
Choose the colors, type, cell size, and page orientation while checking the preview. Use the standard PDF options for Letter, A4, Tabloid, or A3. For a 24 by 36 inch poster, download the poster HTML and use the browser print steps in the giant-poster guide.
